,

After being introduced to storytelling through film in high school Naomi was hooked and went on to study communication with a focus on film and video production at Concordia University. More recently Naomi was commissioned by CBC to co direct and produce the short film Underdog, followed by her first hour long documentary Show Me What You Care About. In May 2017 Naomi was announced as a finalist for the 2017-18 Telefilm Micro Budget Production Program for her feature length documentary How to Bee and has been invited to attend the Toronto edition of the Women in the Directors Chair Career Advancement Module with her project Wood Truck.

Naomi Mark is a documentary filmmaker from Northern Canada – in 2010 she embarked on her first travel adventure abroad to work with and film a local resident who started a school in a remote village in Western Ghana. Seven years later she will explore the impacts of her own work and explore the unique urge to give to those in need halfway around the world.
